For the second year in a row Sue and I ran the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. Last year we had little or no preparation (closer to no then little) and we finished with a time of 56:00 minutes. This year, I felt we were much more prepared and ready to kick some ass… ..in the form of running. I had a much more enjoyable experience this year as opposed to last wherein I believe I could have died at nearly 9 different points throughout the race but luckily didn’t, ensuring that we could run the race this year attaining a time of 56:04. Yeah. :04 slower than last year. But that’s cool, I’m not dissapointed. The important part is that I ran it at all, not that I showed an improvement over the 365 day gap between the only two races I’ve run in my life. I mean it’s not like I got slower over that period of time right?
Right?
For the record–I’m disappointed…that I didn’t see the giant gingerbread man!
I give you guys credit…I’d be the friend waiting for you at the Dunkin Donuts at the end of the race
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
You guys still did great! And we all were able to enjoy the all green man. Maybe next year you will run faster if you dress up as something – the banana guys were a big hit.
